Be careful.  Some of these shows could rise like a zombie on YouTube.

ABC could run ESPN's Sports Center in place of Kimmel.  Better ratings & no need to pay for an overpriced comedian + support staff.

Kimmel shooting off his mouth gave ABC the excuse to end the show earlier than planned.

That is pretty much it.   His show was not being renewed anyway, and this gave them an early exit ramp to dump him and save some millions and try something new in that spot.

I would say use old talk show footage - Carson.  Leno.   Early Letterman before he became so angry and bitter.

Jimmy is chimping out, but also says he already has a new job and it is a lot better than the one he got fired from, so they can kiss his ass!

Find a replacement & command that replacment to host the show the way Carson did.
Still, ESPN re-runs would be cheaper & won't involve a lawsuit.
