SockpuppetI want to replace a massive 13V / 4A wall wart with a 15V trigger cable connected to a PD power supply. The PD supply can deliver up to 100W.
Can you suggest a high quality SKU?

SamplesBoiIn the end you are trying to regulate 15V down to 13V? You sure the device taking the 13V can't tolerate 15V?

SamplesBoiLots of options to get voltages to 12V. 13V is a little harder. Looks like you need an adjustable one.
Anyway, it's not like I memorize parts. I go looking like everyone. DigiKey parametric search is good a lot of the time. Not today. I did find this:
Shyt, my bad, the total wattage on this thing is at most 15W. WEAK! I will have to keep looking.

This has the input and output ranges you are looking for and the current capacity is over 4A. I expect it would work. You need a multi-meter and a small flat head screwdriver (better yet a plastic one made for adjusting pots) to adjust the pot. Dial it in and make sure it stays correct under load. It might drift a little under load. This guy has sold quite a few of these and has a good reputation.

SockpuppetThank you. I thought maybe these were common enough that you would know a reputable brand.

Just soak the wart in olive oil for 48 hours.

.Ahh... shouldn't you include Heekee in a "buck" thread?
BTW, be careful with those low-cost DC-to-DC converters, they will have a lot of ripple under high-current loads.

The spec sheet for the product (Elgato Key Light) was wrong. It said 13V / 4A. But the actual power supply I received was 15V / 3.5A. Will just migrate to 15V PD trigger cable. PD only supports 3A @ 15V, but I won't be running this at full output power anyway so I should be good.
