I seem to get a pitch every so often, usually when my biz is slow. Recently got a hard sell pitch from someone I hadn't talked to in a while - having the chance to do some regular non MLM biz together. I got pressured into "that" zoom meeting where you meet with "that guy" that's worth $80 million dollars and all the rest. I've been thru a few of these and it seemed almost pathological so I decided to throw some verbal clay pigeons out and use some phrases that MLM people hate. I said "give me your best elevator pitch , my time is somewhat limited". The word "pitch" incensed him and got the standard " I don't really need to pitch this" BS. The product they have ( that's not rolled out yet) is extremely intriguing. So I said im curious to take a look after your "beta test" period. This proceeded to devolve into "this is the greatest thing and you will miss out...yadaayadaa". I also said if the product is so great, why does it need an MLM as a sales channel. You know what comes next ' Why would you assume this is MLM". I ducked out of the call...sure enough my original contact was pissed because I got a one one one with this messiah of MLM. After a 10 minute conversation of why the call was a disaster she agreed with me. Anyone with ay experience and training in sales sees thru this shyt. I'm actually helping her re frame her pitch. I'm not joining the MLM
