Yes to the above - poor little Trumpy's ego can't handle all the acts cancelling out and not booking dates at the Kennedy Ctr. because Trump put his name on it.  If he thinks things are going to be better in 2028, he is crazy.

Trump said the Trump Kennedy Center will close on July 4 for a two-year period to undergo renovations, posting on Truth Social that construction will begin on what he described as a new and spectacular entertainment complex. I think you're missing the point.

Closing the Kennedy Center doesn't "hurt" anyone except the people who work there. Have you ever been to the Kennedy Center? It's basically just an event hall in a great location. Any events that were going to be scheduled there will simply be held at a different location. There are plenty of event spaces in DC.

If there's no ulterior motive, it seems irrational. How many people work there - 100? 200? It's not a lot of people. All it does is make Trump look bad.
