Diarrhetrius BrownWe are retired and have a retirement income of just over $89,000 but my wife and I could live on $60,000 if we had to scrimp a little.
Exactly what is a "living wwage"?
........................................................................
HeekeeAround $70,000 in most places
........................................................................
Its one that provides 3 meals s day, a new car with a 7 year payment, a house with a pool, a current model cell phone with unlimited data plan, free health care, and 3 streaming services.
In short an upper middle class life for a life looser.

So what wage accomplishes that?
Why should everyone be entitled to a house with a pool (and your other stuff) for an entry level job?
........................................................................
What entry level job? I thought this was for not working at all.
With an entry level job they get a Lexus, 2 Starbucks a day and a $200 per day shopping spree for their supermodel wife.

SpankyHousing, clothing, food, personal care, transportation, medical care, entertainment, and a bit left over for savings.
None of it needs to be fancy. But it shouldn't be squalor either.

How much is that?

It would depend on the area.

It would take some research.
If you will accept a back of napkin estimate then I can put one together for the Chicago area.

anon user #3How much air exactly do you need to breath for the rest of your life, DB?
If you can't name an exact amount then does that mean that you don't need any air to survive?

What I 'accept' has no bearing on the matter. I expect flagrant dishonesty from you at a minimum.

Yes, that's exactly what it means.
You really get enraged when called on your screeching raging bullshyt.

PelvicOarfishA living wage is whatever number makes the person asking feel morally superior. In Chicago? MIT Living Wage Calculator says $22.17/hr for a single adult, $46.41/hr for 1 adult + 1 child. Federal minimum is still $7.25. The gap between "living" and "minimum" is where all the outrage lives. But nobodys burning down warehouses over a spreadsheet â theyre burning them down because they FEEL broke, and feelings dont have a dollar amount.

You haven’t posted in this thread previously.
The fact that you think you did is very concerning.

Especially when dealing with low iq diversities who have had it pounded into them all their lives that they are 'oppressed', when that is complete fiction and bullshyt.
The root cause, as always, is hostile enemy libfilth vermin. They should be eradicated.

BBobopNone of the 'living wage' demanders can come up with a number.
........................................................................
Step #1: get a minimum pention of at least $100,000 after writing some vbsript.
Step #2: get another job after retiring before 55.
Step #3: acquire bitches

They cannot and WILL NOT. Their goal, as communist and anti-American ENEMY INSURGENTS, is simply the destruction of the United States. That's why they think burning businesses is OK, and killing people over rent is a good thing.

My little town:
Cost of Living Breakdown (2026 Estimates)
Monthly Budget (Single): ~$2,413.
Monthly Budget (Family of 4): ~$5,314.
Median Housing Costs: Rental rates average between $610–$1,000 per month depending on property type. Median home value is approximately $116,100, though some sources indicate a sharp rise in sales prices recently.
Utilities: Monthly household bills (including utilities) are 38% lower than the national median, averaging around $1,286–$1,288.
Living costs in (the town) are significantly lower—around 64% below the state average.
The $26/hour wage at that warehouse would be $59,000 a year @40 hours a week
While it costs $29,000 a year to live here
You would have $30,000 a year in savings every year before you started wasting money.
You could buy a home here in 5 years if you saved every penny.

anon user #3Again, how much air exactly do you need to breathe each day?
........................................................................
anon user #3The point isn't the exact number. The point is more when it's not enough, it's not enough.
