JD Vance will run. The Republican bench is deep, and Trump probably won't endorse, so there will be a lot of strong candidates. You'll start seeing announcements after the first of the year. Marco Rubio, Pete Hegseth, Ted Cruz, Ron DeSantis will all run. I'm sure there will be more.

Actually the Vice President does.
There is no plausible reason Vance would not want to be president. No Vice President has ever been offered the office on the death or resignation of his president and has failed to take it. Every Vice President wants to be President, and Vance is no different. He could be president for 2 1/2 terms under the current rules.
