Actually the Canadian Psychiatric Encyclopedia did an excellent article on Amok...as in "running amok".

It's mostly in mulsim countries but it's happening more and more here.

The interesting statistic that caught my eye was that the average Amok episode killed 15 people. And that was regardless of the weapon. Believe it or not a grown man in good shape can do more damage by far with a sharpened machete or a samurai sword in a given time than a gun, particularly in close quarters. In close guns are difficult to wield and as we saw the gunman was rapidly tackled by people in close to him that he couldn't get a bead on.


What are you going to do? Ban machetes?

1. A good pistol

2. A shotgun

3. A rifle that's accurate out to 300 yards


And 500 rounds for each gun minimum.
