I normally despise the term "late stage capitalism" because it's essentially meaningless, but it's a company like Amazon that makes people believe in it. When you order from Amazon, you're a half-step from participating in the enslavement of others

Jeff Bezos just bought his fourth personal jet (the one that flies at .97 Mach - I think Bombardier).
I mean, I still own a lot of Amazon stock and have no intention of selling it in my lifetime, but this is bordering on Cyberpunk-like inequity The pictures of their scheduling app is particularly creepy.
At least I don't buy much from Amazon (and when I do, I always choose the slowest shipping option).

It's not their fault - there's not much someone with a sub-100 IQ can do to make a living. I guess in that regard Amazon is magnanimous? It's providing employment to people who are otherwise unemployable.
It's going to be very challenging for them when Amazon achieves its goal of substantially automating all their warehouses.

Amazon should try using inmates. Inmates are already working customer care jobs - I'm sure they could be used as Amazon labor?
