I saw it projected from a Vistavision print at Tarantino's Vista theater. Walked out of the movie and there on display were various props including the sun glasses and the dna test machine.

One of America's most respected and leftest writer/directors seems to be able to sell it. There was no critique on gun culture in this film. It was something used by both the good guys and the bad guns, men and women, real humans and spades, the old and the young, equally.
