SockpuppetSince I have been a member (23+ years) it has been revamped four or five times. No change they have ever made has ever inured to the benefit of the customer.
The most recent change was a few years ago so I suspect one is coming soon. The last one was point inflation. More points to get the same stuff. And they also, very enraging, altered the free birthday drink so it was valid only on the day of your birthday as opposed to the month of your birth.
My guess is the next change will close a loophole of sorts.
Right now you can get a barista drink for 200 points. You get two points per dollar. So if you buy 25 drinks for $4 each you get a “free” drink. However, the loophole is that you can get any barista drink. So you can get your regular $4 drink or make a crazy special drink that costs $14.
I predict they will find a way to end that feature of the program.

No idea what that all is

Nah, just white man that worked hard to provide for his family, not a brown skinned scammer looking for ways to scam the system.

No fuqs given on my part, but keep complaining how a company should continue to make it easy for you to scam them.
(p.s. If you don't like their rewards programs you can, wait for it, not go there.)

I think that guy is part Somali

They can only go so far. Dunkin', Caribou, McDonald's are enough competition to keep Starbucks in check.
Starbucks is a bank, that happens to sell coffee.

You care. When it was stated that your dad was a Somali, you got very defensive.

McDonald’s and Taco Bell give you a free reward but it is defined, not open ended. For example free double cheeseburger or a free burrito. And any customizations are extra like adding extra cheese or guacamole.

When you have 38,000 clown-points, the rewards are open ended.
For Starbucks, how much are they losing with a latte? The cost of the milk? They'll live. More important to keep their whales happy.

Think of the gift cards. That's what makes Starbucks a bank.
