If you look over to the right you can see the calculated ratios between each offender group and the population - which is 0.8 for (non Hispanic) whites, also 0.8 for Hispanics and 1.8 for blacks. So if you add the size of the bars for all the victims together and normalize it for population size then you should end up with a total size for blacks that is about twice the length for the same one for whites and Hispanics - and you don't. So whatever this table actually represents it's not what it purports to.

That was the source that Spanky used, so it order to critique his results I obviously had to use the same source data.
And I said nothing at all about causality - simply that the results Spanky presented in his chart could not be claimed to logically follow from the numbers in the source he said he used because they simply do not do so. To put it simply if you look at the numbers in the penultimate column of table 12 in the referenced results you can see a comparison of the offense rate for each ethnic group compared to the population.
The value for whites is 0.8 (I.E. they commit less crimes of this type than the population average) and the one for blacks is 1.8 (I.E. they commit significantly more of this type of crime than the population average) - if you look at the ratio between these two numbers it comes to 2.25. So the bars on Spanky's chart should also exhibit this same ratio unless something in his processing has messed up the data.
However, in Spanky's chart he has totals for whites of 1616 and for blacks of 1498 - a ratio of 0.93 - given the source material this is not a result you can obtain without having made some highly degenerative changes to the data that effectively destroy it's meaning.
My guess is that he's adding up the people committing the crimes and their victims to end up with a composite number that has no real meaning at all.

You didn't show any error. You simple argued a different case.
All the data that drives those charts are available for you to review. The spreadsheet is there. The calculations are in the spreadsheet. You've not proven a single thing inaccurate about the calculation or the chart. Nobody ever has even after the data being out there for years.

Look at my chart and the spreadsheets that back it up. My charts are 100% accurate. They show that more victims of violent crime are the victims of white criminals than any other race. This is important to understand since crime victims do not care about the race of their offender. They only care that they were victimized at all. No rape victim ever says "gee, it would have been so much better if my rapist was white instead of black."
The data is eight years old because that was the latest uniform set of data available at the time I put the charts together. Nobody ever challenged or disproved any of the data and it has stood the test of time. It was considerable effort to put it together so I never wanted to put in the effort to update it. But feel free to do so if later data is available.

OK, it's completely fuqing meaningless. Where do you get the rationale for scaling crime figures by the size of the potential victim pool? It doesn't mean anything since it generates an utterly perverse "measure" that generates better numbers for minorities simply because they are minorities.
