Explosive diarrhea!

Taco Bell, owned by Yum Brands (YUM), has temporarily withdrawn several fresh produce ingredients from its menu as U.S. health officials investigate a growing Cyclospora outbreak that has sickened nearly 2,000 people nationwide, media sources reported.

The outbreak has been linked to symptoms including watery diarrhea and frequent, sometimes “explosive diarrhea” episodes, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Signs posted at some Taco Bell restaurants, including outlets in the Detroit metropolitan area, said lettuce, cilantro-onion mix, pico de gallo, and guacamole were unavailable because of a nationwide recall. Customers ordering menu items that typically include those ingredients would receive them without the affected produce.
