I define woke as being aware of the fact that:

- I, and people like me, have privilege that minorities have not benefitted from
- I am not in a position to judge the lived experience of minorities and, therefore, I take them at their word
- Systemic injustice exists even when that injustice is not conscious or intentional - you don't have to use the N word to be racist
