HOUSTON?At midnight on the first of the month, a scene unfolds at many Wal-Mart Stores Inc. sites that underscores the deep financial strains that many low-income American consumers still face.

Parking lots come to life after 11 p.m. as customers start to stream into the stores, cramming their shopping carts full of milk, infant formula and other necessities.

Then at midnight, when the government replenishes their electronic-benefit accounts with their monthly allotments of food stamps, nutritional grants for mothers with babies or other aid for needy families, they head for the registers.

There was a time in this country when beer delivery man was a solid blue collar job. It was working class, lower middle class, but you could feed a family and keep a roof over your head. That guy makes $10 an hour, 20k gross if he is getting full time hours. How is anyone supposed to raise a family on that? We have been swamped by jobs that people can't afford to accept.

This is what happens when you let millions of people come into the country to work at very low wages and let teenagers sit on their asses and play video games.

Teens don't work anymore. People have got lazy and outsourced all the low income shyt driving down wages for honest people trying to make a living.

Take a professional carpenter, licensed, bonded, and does quality work. When you have a Mexican guy here illegally, unlicensed, and unconcerned with our laws and tax code he can work for a fraction which drives work his way hurting the professional.
