Zombies have a highly developed sense of smell. They'll easily discern the smell of fresh twinkie wrappers and cheetos-encrusted fingers from the smell of their zombie brethren.
They're also attracted to noise. Your constant fapping will be noticed.
You must have missed episode 3 of The Walking Dead. Just put the axe to one and rub it's blood and guts to cover up the smell. Until it rains of course.

The decisive victory against a zombie hoard will only be had by being able to weather the early storm, while the zombies are eating through the low hanging fruits the militias will camp them out in compounds.
One the zombies are having to resort to cannibalism, then they will be on the back foot and you can start making incursions into their territory but only well armed and on your own terms.
