So, the 5th amendment should not apply. Fauci is not at risk.

He should be required to answer questions since he has no fear of being prosecuted.

It is a novel (new) legal theory that will certainly be tested and sent to the Supreme Court for them to decide on.

If they really thought his pardon would protect him, and wanted him to testify, they could offer him immunity in exchange for this testimony.  This really is a farce.
