Phillip_McCavityEnjoy your musky bread.
At least the mold might keep you from getting sick.
So far, sandwiches tried:
1. Egg and cheese
2. Peanut butter

Bread is my one weakness when it comes to food. Sometimes we regret buying a house with a bread oven (it also came with a out door pizza oven) because there is nothing like the taste of fresh cooked bread.

I was talking to showergirl about future living situations last night. If I keep living in the floating home, I am going to outfit it with a good convection oven, and probably a separate induction cooktop.

As soon as Global Warming kicks in you can float over to Boise and kick it with Tommy Pickletits.

Fresh bread turns into a rock hard lobster after one day.
Not easy to keep around.
Store bread sucks ass, chemical slop, never ages.
Seems there is no inbetween.

Our province has a local benevolent billionaire who decided to open a bread shop, open every day, employing Euro bread makers to bake the best bread available in the US every day. It’s a retail store that obviously makes no money since the labor is endless, the product expires in hours, and not nearly enough population or interest to support such a specific endeavor.
No muffins, no fuqen bagels or donuts or ice cream, just bread.

where do you live?
in my area every supermarket has a bakery inside it - they have the pre-packaged bread on the shelf, but also sell fresh baked items at a higher price

If the fresh bread isn’t an inedible rock hard lobster the next day (or at most 2 days) it isn’t real bread :( Can use for croutons or bread crumbs or bread pudding maybe. Very difficult model to maintain unless you have a market population going shopping for provisions every fuqing day like a medieval French village. Or become a home slave to yeast and bake bread every day of life. Real bread doesn’t freeze well it gets fuqed.
I just don’t have bread
Or I buy shyt bread when I have company.
........................................................................
I have some multigrain ‘healthie’ commercial packaged bread in the freezer, along with shyt English muffins, bagels, “honey wheat” bread for visiting kids who can’t do the 27 grain fake healthie version, and Dave’s bread for real masochists. It comes out of the freezer for guests only. Same as flour tortillas
If I forget about them after the guests leave they all can stay at room temperature for weeks/months at least, probably still ok until the next visitors.
I used to have a
bread machine, the bread sucked and got stale in one day, wasn’t delicious bread worth making in the first place. Was ok at making fresh pizza dough, that is all.
