I actually have a friend in Canada who had a relative who recently used MAID.  They were dying of Cancer and wanted to die with dignity.  I'd think you would understand the value in that option being there.

They have another friend who has depression and wants to use it.  I'm not so sure I agree with that but I'm not God.  And I don't even live there so who am I to judge.

The thing is here in the US instead of letting you choose to die, you die in the streets untreated and in pain.

I understand the pressure - especially on European ancestry people - to take that option.

USA has $40 trillion in national debt, with millions of Americans struggling to pay high healthcare costs.

Yet, USA still gives billions to Israel, and spends trillions fighting crazy Middle East wars for Israel, even though Israel is a rich country with universal healthcare.

It's not "free". Everyone's taxes pay for it.

And with the government making those decisions, there will be almost no accountability. At least with private corporations there is some, we

It's only billions, not trillions, that we give to a few foreign nations.  You talk about those numbers as if they are the same, but they are 1000 times apart.  The trillions of debt we have now is largely the debt from all our social programs.  And now you want more social programs and to complain about the debt it creates.
